Go here and nowhere else! I take my 535i from SF to B.M.W and wouldn't even think of going somewhere else! He is incredibly honest, hardworking and knowledgeable. My son also took his older BMW 2000 after spending $4,000 at another mechanic that never fixed the problem. Only someone that really knows BMWs could of find the problem and fix it properly.
Fantastic Over the last four years, my total experience with Berkeley Motor Works is a 10. In fact, 5 times 5 will do nicely. I bought an '86 BMW about 4 years ago, and a friend recommended I go to them. They were right around the corner from where I was living at the time, so I went to them. Highly Recommended A couple weeks ago I took my car because of a coolant leak. The staff is very friendly, being my second time going to them i was confident that my car was in good hands.They found the problem and were very prompt in letting me know what was wrong with my car, that same day I got my car back and problem solved. I would highly recommend this shop because they know what they're doing unlike the dealers who have rookies working on these expensive cars and misdiagnosing problems.
Wonderful There is nothing like having a 10 year old car with 140k miles that drives like it just left the lot. :) I come here for my 60 day oil changes (that's 5k miles in 60 days) and they get me in and out quickly, and early too. There's a sitting room (with Grandma's old comfy couch) and WiFi if you need it for surfing or working. I've brought my own parts in too before which is great considering the wonders of the interwebs and pricing.
Berkeley Motor Works knows their stuff! Berkeley Motor Works handles repairs in a very timely fashion. They are able to communicate in a layman's sense to explain what's going on with your call. They make recommendations and suggestions and lay out different options to their customers. The staff is warm and professional. Best in Town I've been dealing with Berkeley Motor Works for 20 some odd years now, and I've had no problems with them at all. I have two cars that I've been bringing to them, and I've had nothing but good things every time I've brought a car in to them. They've always been forthcoming about what needed to be done and how much it was going to cost. They're also a lot cheaper than going to the dealer, and I've never had a problem with the work either. These are great people who will take good care of you and your car! I have had two interactions with this shop. The first time I had the 328 towed to another shop on the recommendation of AAA. That shop called me in the morning and said that they do not work on BMW's! They did recommend Mike at Berkeley Motor Works. Mike and Paula are both friendly, knowledgeable and experts on BMW's! I got a great deal on my repair. These are great people who will take good care of you and your car!
Friendly and helpful. I've been going to Berkeley Motor Works for 6 years, since my car was a year old and I decided the "free" BMW service was not sufficient. Mike knows BMW's inside and out and he and his staff are friendly and helpful. If you want a ride to BART, they'll take you. If you need the car done by 3, they'll do it.
