First time to a podiatrist. Toenail broke and got infected. Donna was fantastic scheduling me in and then getting me settled after check in. Dr Tlapek was very thorough at explaining what she was going to do. She knew just about every trick in the book to keep your mind off of the procedure. Very caring. Very knowledgeable. Not sure how I could have had a better experience.
I have been a patient of Dr. Nicholls for over 5 years Dr. Nicholls is very knowledgeable and trustworthy his staff is very courteous. I would highly recommend Dr. Nicholls if you have any problems with your feet you will not be disappointed.
2 hour wait each time, poor record keeping, front office is rude
Tlapek was dismissive & patronizing about my bad fungal infection (? of toe gone). Shamed me about treating OTC. Said I should “save up” for her $1000 laser treatment - she won't guarantee just 1 treatment is effective. Evasive; gave incomplete & misleading information about OTC & prescription options. Discouraged ordering lab test to determine if fungal. (req. by ins for Jublia). This worked: Tolfonate, Butenafine Hydrochoride, + CVS Liquid Bandage to cover skin where nail was missing.
I've visited Dr. Head twice in last 10 years, and both times he accurately diagnosed and remedied my problem with one visit. I'm still amazed. And grateful.
Really disappointed in my overall experience here. First, there was always at least a 35 minute wait time every appointment with no apology or explanation from anyone. She could also be a bit condescending especially when I'd ask for clarification about something I didn't understand. I had an ingrown toenail removed here, and I have since seen another podiatrist who pointed out she cut it crooked.
I randomly chose Dr Head when I needed a podiatrist. My decision was based his location and my insurance company options. What a lucky find. Dr Head is a truly remarkable man, a great communicator, and wonderful listener with an ease and attentiveness thats unmatched in my experience with podiatrists. His surgical work on my feet was amazing and as he guides me through my recovery, he continues to explain every process over the weeks, and his every word has been on point. I am very blessed
