Own a 2008 Mazda 6. There was a recall on both the driver and passenger airbags. Some of the components would become brittle due to humidity and would send out life threatening shrapnel if the air bags went off. Had the drivers one replaced about a year ago and the passenger side done today. As I was sitting in the waiting area, the customer server tech behind the counter comes in and tells me about the inspection they had preformed, which I believe is standard on any vehicle being serviced.
