The Bergen County Debate Club is an educational program serving North Jersey residents, ages 10 and up, focused exclusively on the development of critical thinking, persuasive argumentation and public speaking skills for young students. We are a team of highly qualified and experienced instructors, collectively achieving 21 TOC Bids, numerous NSDA, NCFL, NDCA Nationals Qualifications, and several APDA Championships on the National Circuit, both as competitors and coaches.

Bergen County Debate Club is one of the best gifts we gave to our son. The amazing coaches there not only taught him about public speaking but also critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, time management, and much more. The skills he learned will help him for the rest of his life. We are incredibly proud of our son’s success there and wishes every child has the opportunity to have this experience.

I strongly recommend BCDC for debate. We have so much wonderful experience for last 3 years. All coaches are closely interactive with students and keep encouraging them to have more passion. And also BCDC gave us to have chance to join reputable tournaments so we really enjoyed debate as special activity.

Enrolling in BCDC four years ago is the best decision I could have ever made. I started BCDC as a middle schooler with minimal debate experience who could not speak publicly without constant fear of judgement. Now, I am my high school's debate captain, have a plethora of accomplishments on the national level, and won my first bid to the TOC this weekend. As a senior in Highschool, I recommend BCDC to any and all students who are interested in debate or public speaking. BCDC has been able to allow me to do HS debate at a higher level. The staff at this establishment are phenomenal. Max Albert and Ben are the highlights of the PF department. With no question asked, both Max and Ben are willing to dedicate their time (for quite a while) after class to discuss pointers and ideas they might have.
