Beppe & Gianni's Trattoria is severly OVERRATED Wow...I've waited nearly two years to try this place after hearing how great it was. I was disappointed. The service was average at best. I agree with what Erica said about the lasagna. In fact, the dish was so hot that the waitress practically threw it at me. A Selective Amount of Delicious Food My husband and I have been eating at Beppe & Gianni's Trattoria for five years. Over the years, we have had a combination of some of the most wonderful meals and worst. The lasagna is baked in a dish and is served scorching hot with bad flavor. It burned my husband's mouth, and he said it was terrible. We sent it back for something else. The appetizers are horrible - especially the shrimp. Don't believe the hype. I wrote up a huge review of why you shouldn't go to this restaurant on google, and apparently, someone deleted it. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews - the table settings are reminiscent of the olive garden, and the food isn't any better than I could do when I was 16. The prices are way too high and the entrees are oversimplified, uncreative, and underwhelming. It's worth the drive to go up to Portland to a real italian restaurant like Fratelli, or Mingo.
Good Italian food The food is very good. I love the bruschetta. They also have a tempting selection of desserts. As has been mentioned, parking can be a problem and it gets quite busy on the weekends. But worth those minor hassels.
Good food,Poor service! I called and made a reservation two weeks in advance..When we got there they said that they didn't do that on the weekends. They were very rude about it. The waitress that we had was rude to us as well. She never checked on us and when we were thanking her she did not respond at any point. We were there for over an hour and saw her twice. Fantastic! Beppe & Giannis is definitely one of the best restaurants in Eugene. Parking is definitely not great, but you can usually find something on a neighboring street. The restaurant is small, but the food is big in flavor. They almost always have a ravioli of the day and it is unique and amazing. It gets very crowded quickly, so it's always best to go early. It's close proximity to campus makes it a great place to take potential faculty/students.
Yummy Beppe and Giannis has some of the best pasta and bread I have ever tasted. The restaurant is very busy, but is set up nicely. The wait is definatly worth it! I have never had a service problem either!
