This place is not for a family that cares for their loved ones. The memory care unit is JOKE. Time and time again they proved their inadequacy in caring for dementia patients in their "memory care" unit. This is one of the most expensive nursing homes around the Jackson County area and we thought it was great. Turns out it is just new and will soon have a bad reputation. RecommendedChoosing an assisted living facility for a loved one is so difficult. My situation involved just needing a short term stay for my mother. She broke her arm and needed some assistance while it healed so she could return to her home. After quite a bit of research, my brother and I met with Pam, Community Relations Director to tour the facility and learn about the short term services. My Mom has been at the Benton House in Blue Springs since April of this year. She has thrived under their care. They keep her engaged in activities to stimulate her mind, body and soul. The staff is incredible and I'm grateful for their attentiveness to her day in and day out. I never have to worry about my Mother because of the fantastic care that is given to her on a daily basis. Thank you, Benton House for all you do to keep my Mother sage and happy.
