It’s really disappointing how many illegal street food vendors are now popping up all over the city, especially on weekends and at night, and the Health Department seems to be doing nothing about it. These vendors have no permits, no inspections, and are clearly ignoring all basic food safety rules. If you need vital statistic money, they take your money and do nothing. I placed an order via VitalChek and then called them to cancel it. They told me it was. I was charged. I called the Bental Vital Stats office to see if I could close it. They told me that they could not since they had "already worked" on the order. The did nothing. They sent me an email stating they could "not" find my mother's birth certificate. Are you guys ever going to check out Fujiyama in Richland? They must be paying you under the table or something because I got ignored when I called regarding serious concerns and improper food handling/storage.
Very disappointed in our health district… When my crumbling septic tank needed to be replaced they took days longer than their quote 1-2 business days to have the tank inspected (after submitted the needed permit and payment) and then the inspector assumed I was eagerly awaiting their arrival to have it inspected with less than 1 hour notice.
