The people I talked to on the weekend and evening shifts gave me incorrect information and the business hours person just referred me to call non-emergency dispatch which baffled me because the police had said I should try the Crisis Response!

I wish I could explain the frustration and helplessness one feels when they walking into the Crisis Response Unit in Kennewick and bullied into saying they are fine because they don’t have the means to help them. Mental Health Care in the United States has become completely inadequate for Americans of all ages. If I could give less then 1 star I would. They were completely useless when dealing with a family member in a mental health crisis. When I sought help in dealing with it they basically said unless I'm physically harmed they won't do anything.

Crisis Response sure does have a few issues. They called my home with ultimatums and threats. Just let them try that again.

I have some serious issues with crisis response. I believe there is a serious lack of training with some of the staff. That being said the organization it's self does a great deal of good for our community. However i see where there are some prominent gaps that need to be bridged. Please don't think that i am trying to convince anyone to not use their services. I personally will call them again if needed. They are a great asset to the Columbia Basin. I just feel there are a few areas that need to be tightened up to run smoot... read more
