I have eaten at many New Haven hot spots and I always go back to Bentara......been around for along time in New Haven and the reason is because the food is always great. Each menu choice is cooked to order. No processed, store bought items here and the explosion of spices and tastes really make every bite a delictable treat. The kerutuk, rendang and soups are my favorites. The staff is always courteous and willing to explain the menu items to the newbies and the wine list is exceptional. Always a treat to eat here.
Bentara Restaurant I wasn't sure to expect from Malaysian food, but man is it ever good! I love Bentara. My friends and I get here for lunch when we can. It is a bit small, but quiet and relaxing. The food is great, and spicy. I don't think I'd ever dare order anything extra hot like I do at Thai and Chinese places though! I prefer the meals over the noodle bowls, as noodles are easy to come by. Try something exotic!
