Benson hospital is a great location to gets tests X-ray etc but don’t go there for an emergency. It is better to go straight to St Joseph Hospital in Tucson. My husband had cut his hand badly with a table saw. He was in Benson 6 hours before they would send him to Tucson by ambulance. I told them I would take him but they refused to let me. No patient rights. Once you are there. Then you are stuck. He was then sent by ambulance which cost and then to St Joseph for another charge. I was completely amazed at the care given my husband with his recent stay in Benson Hospital. From the ER staff to everyone during his 5 day stay was top notch. Dr. Shaw in the ER was excellent, the nurses were amazing. While in the hospital, his doctor, Dr Nouri, wonderful, always explaining everything so we understood, nurses Marge, Kassie, Mary took care of him better than I ever imagined.
