Great folks and staff, sadly the food was lackluster at best. The brisket was just greasy and flavorless, the pork ribs spongy,yet tough enough to stay on the bone,and just all the wrong kind of sweetness on them.
We stopped by during our lunch break while running an errand in Fresno, and we’re so glad we did! The food was delicious, but what stood out the most was the kindness of the man working there, who I believe may have been the owner. He was so welcoming, offered veterans a discount to his customers, and even gave a cold bottle of water to a homeless woman outside as we were leaving. Great food and even better people; we’ll definitely be back!
"Ben's knows what they're doing. The bark on the brisket was dark, peppery, and packed with flavor-exactly how it should be. The smoke penetration was deep without being bitter, which tells me they've got their fire management dialed in. Ribs had that perfect 'bite'-not fall-apart, but clean off the bone. And the homemade spicy sauce? Chef's kiss. This is competition-quality BBQ in a casual setting. Don't sleep on this place."
Ordered the brisket plate and it was delicious, only disappointed with the portion size of the brisket they gave
