Disappointed that we were turned away at the door for not having a reservation when only 3 tables have people at them. I checked at 330pm before we left the house on a Saturday afternoon and all the reservation times were completely open so I figured it would be fine. Walked in at 415 (took our time looking at the fall leaves on the way) and they said they had no room. We left and I checked to make a reservation right then and again, it was completely open. Rocky the bartender is AWESOME!!! The food is amazing! I’d suggest the meatballs! (Joe’s grandfather’s recipe!)
My husband and I randomly stopped here one day for lunch and were pleasantly surprised! I ordered the soup of the day and half a sandwhich and he ordered the beet salad and some kind of egg roll (I can’t remember what kind, haha). Our food was fresh, had good textures, and my soup was seasoned well! The server was pleasant & was present when we wanted something but was never overbearing.
Nothing worse than a kitchen that closes 45 minutes early. On a Saturday night...
