Widespread incompetence. Nice people, but they routinely fail to do their job. On two separate occasions (2025 and around 2022), my homeowners insurance lapsed with no warning from them. I was willing to forgive it the first time, but not the second. Perhaps even more unbelievably, on both occasions I was the one who brought the lapse in coverage to their attention. We were on vacation in Florida and when we got to the rental car agency, they wouldn't let us have the car till we showed them a Declaration of insurance. My wife called Kim at the agency and within a few minutes she had emailed it to my wife's phone, and we were on our merry way! My same agent of over 12 years with yearly contact and policy updates...conveniently fails to notify me of my most recent $4500.00 annual Homeowners policy increase. I soon after heard on the street that they went to premium business so everyone's rates skyrocketed with them.
