I have been a patient of Dr. Welling for a couple of years. He performed carpal tunnel release on my right hand, giving me immediate relief after years of severe pain. He is excellent at what he does. He is not only knowledgeable and thorough, he is also a very kind and humble person. He patiently answers my questions, never making me feel rushed. Before I was referred to Dr. Welling I had severe pain in both hands that really limited the use of my hands. I spent more than a decade just trying to keep my hands from getting worse with no success. I have had multiple surgeries and with each one my hands are improving. My condition compromises my connective tissue leaving me with little hope to use my hands for other things, beside the bare minimum. Dr. Welling is one of the kindest and most compassionate doctors I’ve ever met. He took the time to listen, didn’t rush through the appointment, and explained everything clearly. He made sure I was comfortable with the plan before moving forward, which meant a lot to me. Honestly, he’s probably the best doctor I’ve seen in a very, very long time. I highly recommend him.
I never thought I would say this about a surgeon - I am a better human being for interacting with Dr Welling. I know going forward that my treatment with him will get me better holistically.
