Dr. Szerlip was the second orthopedic surgeon I met with regarding my arthritic shoulders. He was highly and specifically recommended by the Physical Therpapy office I had been seeing. Dr. Szerlip provided extensive information and more exray evidence of my shoulder replacement need than I had received previously. He confidently advised me of a strategy and then we moved forward with the shoulder replacement. I was referred to Dr Benjamin Szerlip because I broke my humerus bone in my shoulder. After getting x-rays, Dr. Szerlip came into the exam room and said "no surgery and coming from a shoulder surgeon, that is great news." I used to think older doctors were a better choice because of experience but Dr. Szerlip proved that totally false. Dr. Serlip is professional, smart and I believe is cutting edge as far as techniques go.
