I was referred to Dr Szerlip after breaking my right humerus. He gave me two options :surgery for fast track recovery and a removable plastic cast for a slow track recovery. I chose surgery then backed out for other medical reasons. He was fine with me backing away from surgery and said he was happy with how the xrays looked with the cast. Six weeks later I could remove the cast when not working and my arm is healing fine. I really appreciate his professionalism. Thanks.
My daughter has suffered with a shoulder injury, lost ROM and in extreme pain for 5 years. We have seen multiple "shoulder specialists" that told us they don't know what's wrong and can't help. We've been sent to neurologists, had nerve testing, told it was brachial plexus injury, neck injury and everything came back normal. Went to Dr Szerlip for a muscle tear and from the beginning he was able to keep me calm,grounded and informed with it all. I was sent for an MRI and I did indeed have a tear of my pectoral muscle. I was scared and nervous I would need a surgery and miss work and financially take a hit i cant afford right now. Dr. Szerlip informed me it was completely my choice but not nesseccery to function.
