Dr. Konell is a wonderful doctor. I wish he was still with West Florida because the care I’ve been receiving is not satisfactory. I feel it’s a waste of time to even go to appointments now.
I have been a patient at the West Florida clinic on Woodbine road for approximately 10 years! First Dr Messick then Dr Akhondi, then I am told a new doctor is coming from Pensacola, a Dr Konell. I am told that I am considered a new patient and have to wait 4 months until January for an appointment! CVS/CAREMARK tells me that they have contacted the clinic for renewing my prescription’s with no response! I think it is unprofessional to ignore a 10 year patient of the clinic! My wife had a new patient appointment at 3:00. The Doctor and staff were having a cupcake party in the work area. From the laughter and small talk we could easily hear that we’re having a good time While my wife and I waited for 45 minutes in the exam room. Fed up, we decided to leave. He knew we were leaving but offered no apology or explanation. We would not recommend this Doctor to anyone.
Dr. Konell is a good doctor. I got the referral to a specialist that I needed which was very helpful. He’s also knowledgeable about homeopathic and natural supplements and has a list of supplements that reduce inflammation. This is really useful during the pandemic.

Updating my Jan, 31, 2020 review. I have to lower my rating to two stars. My lab orders were never sent to the lab, I wasted my time going there. When I called to inquire why this happened, All I could reach was the appointment center and not the doctors office directly. I was told they were simply never sent. I was a new patient and was looking forward to competent health care, but if I can't trust the staff... The search for healthcare continues.
