Dr Rubin listened and heard my concerns that pain was limiting my otherwise active lifestyle, encouraged me to first seek all other options (PT, ablation, acupuncture, etc, which I did) and only THEN consider multilevel fusion surgery if alternatives failed. He carefully explained the 8 hour procedure and was realistic I still might have some pain.. Indeed I again have my active life back and no pain!!! I had a wonderful experience with Dr Ruben. After about 4 years of lower back pain and trying injections then finally an ablation with zero relief. He recommended a spinal fusion it has been about 2 1/2 months since the fusion of L5-S1 and I feel like myself again. I’m back in gym on the elliptical & light weights.
