Reasonable, caring vets I've been taking my dogs to Beneva Animal for over 15 years. I go because of Dr. Paxson-Rollins. She is a wonderful, caring vet who does not "up-sell" a bunch of unnecessary tests. I've been to other vets over the years only because of convenience and have been shocked by the costs. Even though it's a bit out of the way, I totally trust Dr. Paxson-Rollins and will follow her where ever she may go.
OK Although the clinic is professional and some of the staff are outstanding and caring techs, I found that the bulk of staff always rubbed in the fact that my pet is problematic in terms of behavior. Not just once or twice, but every single time we called or visited there would be an insensitive remark about what are actually the signs of fear (translated as agression by them) that my pet displays. Why? It seems that alot of people know longer work there but I guess people come and go and that only 3 people still work there besides the 2 doctors thats been there a long time everyone else is gone. Kind of strange to me. I guess they work fo cheap if they look always stressed out all the time. or too cheap to hire anybody else if anybody will stay. Mrs. When we began coming to this clinic approximately 5 years ago we were very pleased with the service, price and professionalism. Since then, not so good. One of their head customer service reps finally left (thank god!), and they still have some good, caring ones (Vicki, Michelle, others whose names I can't remember), but they ALWAYS seem way over-worked and stressed. Beneva Animal Hospital Drs. Paxson and Whitlock have been taking care of my pets (dogs, cat and even birds!) for years. They have always been attentive, professional and EXTREMELY caring. My dogs (there have been 3) have never left without "pink nose" (leftover lipstick smudge from a smooch). I will always honor Dr. Paxson for the dignity with which she put my dog Hudson down - at home, surrounded by people who loved him. Staff overall.......... have been taking my pets to BAH for many many years. As of late a new tech, in Traing has soured my experience with the facility. She is moody, incompetant and of questionable IQ and does not belong in a facility where the focus is on "care and concern". VC needs to find a new career will not go back as long as she is employed there!

Moved to Sarasota this week. Looking for veterinary care for my dog. Called to set up a new patient appointment, including having stitches removed. I was told they don’t do that. Interesting!
Drs Janet, Lisa, Jill and their Staff have been my go to experts for over 20 years. Their compassion and love of animals is immeasurable ! There are none better in my opinion. Always there for my fur babies with four on the floor.
