I had the opportunity to visit the Benefis walk in clinic. I would like to say my visit was one of the best I have experienced, in any walk in clinic to date. They were very professional and explained everything that was going to happen. We waited approximately 45 minutes at your walk-in clinic—only to be told after finally being seen that our medical concern could not be handled there and that we needed to go to the Emergency Room instead. This is not a minor oversight. It is a complete failure of basic intake procedure. Why was this not determined at check-in? Is your front desk staff incapable of asking simple screening questions? Physician assistant was extremely rude short tempered and snarky, and talked down to me and told me to take Motrin when it’s documented in my chart and was confirmed by the nurse that I have a severe allergy to NSAID. When I told him I’m allergic, he said lol don’t take it then and sent me away.
I understand are doing some changes there but staff can't always say no to people that are sick or in pain & some times they have appointment with their regular doctor & some times they need to make an appointment with doc there & some times people go there that are not sick or in pain or bother the staff ! And staff at this hospital have to treat all people go there that are in alot of pain & not sick go in the first & leave after that .
