Not sure that this bank is real, or hype. Many promises, minor delivery.
I did not want to leave this bank but when they bought out Albina Bank I could never get my online bill pay straightened out even after several trips to the bank. A friend and even a financial advisor I know left for the same reason. Too bad as I really like the socially responsible angle.
We do our business banking here, so I stop in 2-3 times per week. They have a great team at this location; they're friendly, but not in that silly way that doesn't seem genuine. It's always a pleasure to do business there.
Great staff, great small banking quality. I've been there since they opened almost and no complaints ever. Overqualified staff. I have free checking which is rare now.. maybe you can get it too? For the person locked out of online banking... Yes, they don't work on week-ends so on monday call! They have caller ID and know who you are when you call which is nice, and easy to reset your password. Write it down somewhere ...Otherwise no difference since beneficial took over except the orange decor which seems o.k. beavers?
So the people who work here are very nice, and they always seem very understanding and apologetic when I go in complaining about yet another issue I'm having with my online accounts. Nobody answers the phone, and when you leave a message, nobody calls you back. This is a problem when you believe your account has been compromised. I have been locked out of my online account for the third time this weekend and there is no remedy since they don't work on weekends. I will be changing banks as soon as possible next week.
