Unresponsive management, it's unlikely you will ever speak to anyone from Benco on the phone or in person. As with many other reviewers on yelp, they automatically deducted our security deposit to "turn the apartment" for new renters. (i.e. it doesn't matter if you leave the apartment in perfect condition, you will not get your full deposit back).
I moved in on 12-16-22. The heater was broken and had to be replaced. The wash machine needed a new motor (it still doesn’t work). The stove and oven were filthy. I was told by Hayley that she would order new burners and drip dishes and have housekeeping come and clean the stove and oven. I haven’t received any burners or drip dishes. Haven’t seen housekeeper. They also deducted $1,410 from my account on 12-20-22 although I owed nothing. They don’t know how to give me my money back. I’ve gone to my bank to ask for my funds b... read more
Out of all the places I have lived I have never experienced management this unresponsive. I lived here for a year and did enjoy the place/ location but at this point it definitely deserves a one star review due to the fact that it has been almost an entire month since I have moved out and I have not received my deposit back. I've reached out 5+ times.
I applied for an apartment during the smoke/wildfire situation and now I'm out $600. After applying for the apartment, I couldn't view it for several days due to hazardous air quality, so I had to pay a holding fee if I wanted a place to live. Once I was able to view it, it was clearly way too small ($1400 for a 500 sq.ft. 1 bedroom where the bedroom can literally only fit a bed).
