Time to STANDUP people. THEY CHARGE PEAK DEMAND 24 HOURS A DAY. If you use OVER 1000 WATTS AT A TIME YOU WILL BE CHARGED PEAK DEMAND. There is damn near NOTHING that uses LESS than a thousand watts even our SMALLEST Instant pot pulls 800 watts while cooking, that means that if I shut off my ENTIRE HOUSE POWER and ONLY fun my instant pot, I have ANOTHER 200 watts to play with that won't even power a kitchen aid before I am charged PEAK DEMAND. $55 IN CONNECTION FEES EACH MONTH JUST TO HAVE SERVICE... I count my KWH usage and was SHOCKED when the bill was $50 more than I was expecting. I figured we had an appliance that was eating power until I looked at the bill and busted out laughing. I am used to a $20 and $15 service charge the last two places I lived for 10 years. THEN when we couldn't AFFORD our bill, they charged us $30 which was just FANTASTIC. so $85 JUST to have service and not USE anything. THANKS BENCO!
