I would keep my children out of school on this day. This is not okay. You say it is not disrespectful, but it is. I am thoroughly offended by your decision.
I think you are making a huge mistake having school on Veterans Day. This is so disrespectful of our Veterans .If it's about teaching what Veterans Day is all about you should do that before this day and encourage them to be involved with all things we do on that day like attend the parade or stop at the VFW and thank a Veteran in person.
How horrible to not honor Veteran's Day! The school bands should be allowed to march in the parade. Why not bus the students to the parade? Shame.

I think teachers should not be paid during the summer when they are not working, $2000. A week is ridiculous. That would save a lot of money. Let's also get rid of the superintendent and their many assistants...budget solved! And no tax increases!!! Teachers going on strike for more money for not teaching anything accept to pass standardized tests for more money from the fed!! Teachers need a wake up call... You don't work you don't get paid or raises!
This school district is a mess! You have an event this weekend and you have not once advertised for it!!!! The farmers in this country are what make this world work but because they don't dress like you or act like you people think they don't matter!! The ag program was the best program that school offered when I was in school!! So depressing to see that no one cares to educate kids how the world works!!!
