When I was told I had cancer wow you worry about your family money suffering for you and your family Beloit Cancer Facility has wonderful people working for them everyone from the receptionist to the doctor have treated me like family and the nurses are like my guardian angels. My appointment was for 1130am. They called and rescheduled to 10am.. It's 1145am and I'm still sitting here waiting. About to leave. No one has even checked on me since the nurse left me in here at 1015. Who knows how long this is going to go on. Things were great when Dr. Vogel was here. This new guy is now in the room with us basically yelling at us because we are unhappy with sitting here for almost 2 hours. We will be leaving after this appointment.
Dr Eric Xanthopoulos is just plain awesome. He was very informative and went above and beyond to help me work through some problems that occurred along the way while I was receiving treatment. I wholeheartedly recommend him. Jennifer at the reception desk is a real jewel, too. Good people.
Dr. Vogel is extremely caring and compassionate. He explained the treatment options available and side effects of chemotherapy and did not give my brother or family any false hope. Some respond well while others don’t. He was clear that the kind and type of cancer my brother has is incurable. All we can hope for is to slow it down. His job must be difficult to explain the facts in a clear and concise manner with compassion considering the number of patients he has to tell the”not so good news” that they have cancer.
