Would not let me schedule an appointment
The best eye doctor I’ve ever been to in my entire life. They’re very thorough and consistent and I’m a type 1 diabetic so I have to have my eyes checked frequently and regularly.
Had my eye scratched (6mm length), intense pain that would not yield for hours on end. I was 3 hours away on vacation by car trip. Called them up and they were able to do a quick visit same day when I got back to the bay area. I got the medication needed which took the pain away and Dr Decanay gave me a few options for treatment. We went with the lubricate that I put in my eye a few times a day and after about the 11th day I had no more issues or discomfort. I continued for about 30 days total. Dr. Dacanay is an exceptional ophthalmologist with outstanding technical skills and caring chairside manner. He doesn't talk AT you, he discusses WITH you and LISTENS to you. If you find a doctor this good, keep him forever. I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else.
