At the inspection, I stayed behind to speak with the Bronwyn, who told me, verbatim, “It’s yours if you want it.” She also encouraged me to submit an application and mention in the application the rent we were hoping to pay, explaining that the advertised price had already been reduced and that she would discuss it with the landlord. Applied to inspect a downstairs unit in Redcliffe, cosy in the $400's pw. I couldn't make the first inspection but was emailed that another inspection was arranged for today. I arrived to find out the downstairs unit was rented but was told the upstairs and a granny flat were available at the same address. Upstsirs unit, $750 pw, granny flat $600 pw. Looks like a bait and switch to me.
