It was difficult to become a patient in Dr Bell’s practice because her patients do not leave her care. As a person with highly treatment resistant depression I found Dr Bell willing to try every modality available. It took some time but ultimately Dr Bell was able to help me achieve an eight year remission in my illness. She has always listened to my suggestions and feedback. I don't know what all the negative reviews are talking about... Dr. Bell is the most knowledgable and caring psychiatrist I have ever had (I should now as I have been to every in the area who take insurance and they could care less). She actually sits with you for the full 20 minutes rather than seeing you for a minute and billing insurance for a full session like others in the area do. I have been to many psychiatrists over the years, but Dr. Bell is the best one I had. She listens attentively, and always helps guide me in the right direction. I honestly don't think I would be as well adjusted as I am without her. I cannot recommend her enough.
Dr. Bell is insightful, engaged and respectful. She makes me a partner in my care and listens. Highly recommend.
Not really sure how the doctor is, Didn't make it to scheduling, online they said accepting new patients, so I called to make an appointment. The receptionist was very nasty saying they took all their new patients last week, at which point I asked when they would be taking new patients again and she said "we Aren't" And hung up the phone.
She shows compassion, doesn’t rush you, makes you feel comfortable, & supported- then, she cuts you off when, you least expect it. She leaves you stranded with out medication and/or guidance. It’s impossible to find another provider in such a short amount of time before, running out of medication. Just be careful.
She, doesn’t listen to new or worsening symptoms caused by medications. She, adds more drugs to mask the side effects of the drug/s -instead of acknowledging the drug has caused my new & worsening symptoms. This has caused many unnecessary medications & years of being misdiagnosed. She needs to hear her patients & not just ignore the adverse reactions to what she has prescribed. I trusted her judgement as a professional- in return it kept me symptomatic & misdiagnosed for years!
Ive been with Dr.Bell for 10yrs. I find her very professional yet down to earth too. She's understanding, easy to talk to & most knowledgeable. I've already recommended 2 friends to her. The 1 who got in first with Dr.Bell is always thanking me for the referral & telling me how much better he's been since seeing her & the other is on a wait list presently. So not only would I recommend Dr.Bell to others..I already have. She is a 5/5 Star Psychiatrist in my experience. A Master @ her craft!?????
