Absolutely disgraceful treatment and malpractice by this NHS service. I called Out of Hours as someone who is disabled with mobility issues, and described my urgent medical issue. I was abused and screamed at by the triage team for absolutely no reason, and then they hung up on me. I was honestly in shock and shaking by the horrendous verbal abuse from the triage team. Phoned 5am I'll with a call back received at 740. Told to "just phone your GP in an hour" Hideous way to run a health system
Just sharing my positive experience, not to negate anyone's bad experiences but just to show that the service can be extremely helpful. This was the quickest and friendliest service I've had through local healthcare. Both the triage nurse and the doctor were helpful and efficient, prescribing medication to be collected immediately. Two hours from first call to speaking to the doctor.
Most patronising doctor I’ve ever spoke to I feel so bad for vulnerable and elderly people trying to get help with these ones would rather sit in S&P for hours than speak to her again would give zero stars
