We had a lovely day in Mornington visiting Beleura House in the wonderful care of really committed, generous and tireless volunteers. The morning tea service was charming, as was the opportunity to enjoy a rare touch of elegance. The scones and cream were a little below-par, though, for the price. The house is more like a ramshackle holiday home than a stately remnant of a previous era - very questionable taste in ceiling murals, and somewhat cluttered and overflowing with tired decor from too many periods. What an absolutely amazing experience The house and gardens are spectacular The staff and volunteers were first class and so knowledgeable about Beleura.I am on holiday from the UK and would highly recommend a visit for anyone visiting Mornington Victoria
