Calm atmosphere – It does not look like much from the outside, so it never appealed to me to eat there until some friends suggested going one evening. It was nice, the food was good, the servers were friendly. I really liked the atmosphere because it was calm, it did not feel rushed like the Olive Garden.
This is the best place to eat in all of central Pa A must if you love food.
Best Italian Food In Central PA Thanks to a friend who told us about Bel Paese restaurant we recently went check it out. The restaurant is in a little shopping plaza near the York Toyota Dealership from the outside it does not look like much but to our amazement when you enter the restaurant is decorated with a nice Italian flair. Good Food Bel Paese has good food and a nice atmosphere. It has a more formal dining room and an area for pizza and subs. We've also had their take out, which is good. There is better Italian food to be had in York for the price, but overall I would recommend it.
i have eaten here several times....paintings were nice (murals), but the split in the seat cushion was driving me up the wall. The calamari was a little tough, some silverware dirty. Authentic italian? Close but no cigar. The waitress was not familiar with some foods (or wine for that matter), but the main course saved the day. Dessert was pleasant. It's a shame they don't have a bar for some limoncello or sambuca or grappa....not bad
Very reliable I love the calamari bruschetta. I almost always get that as an appetizer. Main courses are very good. I've had a couple of duds here and there, but that is not typical. Wine list is good. Service is good. Very accommodating to children. Best pizza in york (we get that for take-out) The atmosphere is nice, there is kind of a formal and informal side. Excellent pasta & pizza Bel Paese Italian Ristorante has excellent food. Including any kind of pasta dish you can imagine, also have great pizza. You can even BYOB to enjoy with your dinner. Bel Paese Italian Ristorante is also very clean and average price.
Wonderful Italian Food Fine dining. Great pasta dishes and wonderful customer service. Very nice sit down restaurant. They also serve great subs on homemade bread.
