After the sale of our home in AZ we contacted Bekins to store our belongings for six months while we searched for a new home out of state. We had all our possessions stored in the Bekins warehouse in Phoenix from April-Oct. We then arranged to have our belongings moved with Bekins when we found a house and we're ready to proceed with the move. This complaint is in regards to the Phoenix AZ Warehouse on Buckeye Road. I decided to use Bekins for my move to Wisconsin based on reviews - not the Florida Review one 1 star - which I had not seen. Ofelia P. was the company agent who came to my apartment on 10/14/21 and per our discussion the following was agreed: Bekins would pack my two televisions and two large wall art which had glare free glass. Bekins has done extremely poor job in shipping and handling of my items and did not provide the service that I was promised. Spent over $8,000.00 to ship personal items from San Diego, CA to Houston, TX. My shipment was poorly crated/packed by their authorized representative and my Italian Marble table was broken into three pieces, my hutch was damaged, and chest of draws was also damaged. Shipper's household goods were picked up and stored in the El Cajon warehouse. Shipper then decided to move from permanent storage to the State of TX. Bekins Van Lines hauled the shipment to Houston where the goods were delivered to (2) separate locations on 1/9/2021. No exceptions were taken by the hauler for the crated marble top at time of loading from the El Cajon warehouse. Bekins review CHARGED $1300 OVER $1500, 120% GOOD FAITH DEPOSIT PLUS HELPED MOVERS UNLOAD THE TRUCK FOR 4 HOURS. TIMELINE OF EVENTS NOTED BELOW. ALL OF TGE INFORMATION IS VERIFIABLE BY EMAIL AND POSTED ALONG WITH THIS REVIEW. 1. Called Bekins on a Saturday and explained the move in detail with a customer service rep in a call center. 2. There was as online questionnaire that was completed by the customer. This did not represent what they were actually moving. The branch manager spoke with the customer and advised that the charges would be over what the quote was, due to the inaccurate completion of the questionnaire. This was also advised on the day of the move. Customer was told they would be charged for the services that were performed. The charges stand correct.
I used Bekins Moving Solutions in Phoenix, AZ twice from June-July 2021. I sold my home very quickly in June of this year and they moved my items from my home to a storage facility in Chandler and due to a lack of communication with my consultant, I had to rent my home back from the new buyers for 5 days . The actual employees that packed and moved my belongings did a good job except for not providing enough info on the labeling on the boxes.. I used Bekins to put my home items in storage after my husband passed when I requested my items brought to my sons house to store. I was alone and have an extremely bad back and it was the middle of summer I uneven used a moving company before so I was educated on this. After unloading my items I questioned why there was so many empty numbers and how many there should be, the men told me mark off the the empty numbers because they probably did not call all of them off. Bekins Moving Solutions failed to deliver my shipment in the agreed-upon delivery window (delivered a week overdue) due to their truck being broken down at the origin location. During the delay, Bekins provided inaccurate updates, telling me my shipment was on its way and on track for an on-time delivery. Additionally, they added 2 improper charges to my billing: one for a shuttle that was not utilized and one for a "Move Management Services" that was not included in the signed Estimate/Order for Services.
