Been working with Dr. Keith Hersh since February 2013 and he is one of the top best psychologists and really and truly cares about the well being of his clients and their mental health. He is also always available on his cell phone for emergencies and promised to respectfully let me know if the calls become excessive. His rates are also very reasonable and he is in network with almost all insurance providers. I had a session with Jane Hollings to inquire about EMDR therapy. I am having difficulty locating a provider in Durham. I kept an open mind during our introductory session, but ultimately am disappointed. I understand she also rehabilitates sexual assault offenders. I hope she does not teach them that it is their victims' fault for not putting up stronger boundaries or being too polite. I thought she was a pleasant individual but perhaps not equipped to assist trauma survivors.
We visited Jane Hollings for Autism testing. She gave my daughter 2 sessions of testing then gave us the results via email with no recommendations. When replying to her email she never got back to me. Then I called several times left messages (she never returned) and finally spoke to the front desk. After the front desk talked to her she relayed that recommendations don't come with testing. Jane Hollings never spoke to us again even after she said she'd be there to answer any questions/concerns. We worked as a family with Jane Hollings and things started out well for a few visits. We were optimistic that she would be able to help with our issues. But, a few appointments in, when my son tried to schedule another appointment he was promptly told that there were no more times he could meet with her, ever. I wish she could be up front with us and tell us she is not able to help us, rather than making that rude comment to my son.
