Had my first visit here for behavioral health. Filled out all the paperwork, expressed my military background and issues I suffer from that mentally, expressed my family history all on paperwork, but when it came down to the actual therapy session, my therapist only talked about himself and how his dad was a cop and somethin about his brother being in the service and ranted about himself for about 30-40minutes. Please be aware that the new location is 1401 N. 13th Street in Decatur. Google hasn't updated the address yet as of this posting, so my daughter went to the wrong place for her appointment. Not the staff's fault by any stretch. Staff is good, my daughter has had good experience.
I went here because I needed to get back on my ADHD medication, instead of prescribing me my previously prescribed medication. Mackenzie Henshaw saw it appropriate to make me get tested again to prove I even had ADHD (I've been tested multiple times, and proved over 20 years to genuinely have ADHD.) Mackensie attempted to gaslight me, prescribe only antidepressants that aren't clinically proven to treat ADHD properly, and even after the test proved I still have ADHD and didn't grow out of it as she claimed. she refused to pr... read more
significantly unimpressed is an understatement. save yourself the nightmare experience and go anywhere else for actual professional help. no one here is actually qualified to prescribe medications if you need them and the staff who will prescribe medications prefer to treat you like a laboratory specimen instead of actually paying attention to and respecting medical history. the counselors are grossly under qualified as well, which is fine as long as you don't hope for actual help. if you experience a little bit of anxiety, ... read more
