We had a national lender go through Appraisal Mortgage Company, who then contracted Beeman Appraisals to appraise a house we were trying to buy. Jason Beeman did a desktop appraisal, although his office was within a mile of the house we were trying to buy. The appraisal took 21 days - a desktop appraisal of a house within a mile took 21 days!!! The seller had absolutely no opposition to an in-person inspection.
