To be perfectly honest, I'd definitely recommend K-6. But that's all. Yes, my kids went thru the entire school district, but all 3 said they were NOT prepared for college AND they were all honor/AP students. Also, from what they told me, punishments never fit the "crime" and they said the majority of the students were disrespectful and rude to teachers. Just being honest!
Attended Heskett "African American History Program and Soul Food Fest" Friday nite. IT WAS GREAT! The scenes went down history lane depicting the story of African Americans from our time in Africa to Barack Obama's presidency. Excellent information and presentation. A N D the soul food fest was off the chain!! Very very delicious food, abundant in quantity, and hot sauce! Loved it. That shows consideration for the population served - hot sauce goes with greens and beans Smile. Hats off!
Am so disappointed this school district the way they treat students with illness is so ugly the principal at Columbus made my daughters feel so low about themselves it hurts me. But as a mother I try my best to do a good job but when someone like her bring them down it hard to bring them back up... This is the last year for one of them the other one is already at heskett but I be Damn if my sons go Thur this I move out of this school system if she still there.
Bedford City School District represents a Community. We support one another and share communal values. My children have received an excellent education here in academics and personal development. We are proud to be part of the Bearcat family!!
