We hired Béchard back in December to refinish our hardwood floors. The price was fair and he came recommended to us. We specifically wanted the poly to be water and not oil, which he told us he could do. Told us it’d take him 3-4 days. By day 3 we get a text telling us that the product is bubbling and he doesn’t know what to do. He then proposes to come back another week because he has something planned for the weekend (meanwhile we’re in an Airbnb waiting…) He eventually agreed to resend the entire house and try again. Mr. Béchard strikes me as a nice enough guy but the quality of work on his job was sub standard. We had our floors redone by home and the result was a bubbly coating. He initially told us he wouldn’t be able to fix it not since the holidays were around the corner and he had other jobs. He ultimately agreed to resend and redo it in a 1.5 day period (initial period was 3 days. The result is OK but inconsistent and certainly not what we had expected. Mr. Darrell Bechard finished our floors today and I couldn’t be happier. They always showed up on time. They left the home as clean as they found it. He knows woods+stains+finishes and you can absolutely trust his opinion when it comes to matching trim and existing floors. I regretfully questioned his opinion and the pictures prove he knows better than I. The workmanship is impressive to say the least. His price is well worth it. White oak, Gloss Natural Finish, Oil-Base Polyurethane
