I was admitted to Beaver Valley Hospital from September 16–21 with an appendicitis attack. My doctor, Dr. Lance Smith, gave me his utmost attention throughout my stay and was very attentive to my pain and condition. He quickly prescribed pain medication to help bring me some comfort. I have to say, this was the worst pain I have ever experienced — even worse than my bypass surgery and kidney stones. The staff at Beaver Valley Hospital was absolutely outstanding. Be extremely cautious when getting basic routine bloodwork done at Beaver Valley Hospital. I was billed over $1,018 for a standard set of outpatient labs (CBC, Lipid, TSH, B-12, Testosterone, A1C).. plus an extra $142 generic "laboratory" facility fee tacked on top. The exact same battery of routine bloodwork costs between $130 and $190 total through independent clinical labs. I had surgery here on May 15th with Dr.Delcore and his amazing staff. Firstly, the hospital is beautiful…I was checked in right away and taken to my room. Met w my Anesthesiologist and nurses who were all so kind and caring . When it was time for surgery I felt so safe and protected. You can’t put a price on that. Thank you everyone. Best surgery day ever.
