I found it crowded, cramped set up and was not pleased when they screwed up my online reservation. I signed up for three nights at a tent site. I check in (not, not formally check in, like I just got there) and dude tells me he had me down for one night instead. I had to pack my tent back up, it was misery from there. Once I parked in the tight, cramped RV site he chose for me, I didn't want to set up my tent again in a tiny patch of grass at a site meant for an RV... I did not enjoy my experience. Why would they name the campground Beaver LAKE if there isn’t even a lake to fish or play in. Also the pool is so small and the camping spots and pretty packed together. The only good thing about my stay is the bathrooms were VERY clean and good showers too.

Great location! The campground has nice sites. Easy to pop into Custer or as a launching point to other attractions in the area...especially Jewel Cave. The facilities are really clean and the staff are amazing.
