I have two sons that's been involved with this state agency. I have had the pleasure of working with two caseworkers in 30 years. They have always provided great services for my family. I have had not of pleasant encounters with same agencies in other countries. I highly recommend Beaver County, if you need help or services they are great at there jobs
This place likely has some excellent workers. However, my experience with case management has been subpar. I asked for services because I am autistic. Struggle with the phone calls, appointments, and paperwork. I need an advocate because I get overlooked easily due to age, appearance, and social defecits. Crisis hotline refers to people as "consumers" and takes sarcastic things out of context, which will likely lead to you being involuntarily committed to a mental ward. Do not contact these people if you're in crisis, call your mom or something, they're more trouble than they're worth. You don't want to be in a mental hospital unless you really need to be, if you're having non-serious suicidal thoughts, these are the LAST people you should be talking to, period.
