Dr. Harper-Shankie is an excellent neurologist she and her team were intelligent, thoughtful and caring. I agree with the other reviewers the reception phone calls are by far the most infuriating part but if you can get past that you will get the best neurologist and team.
If I could rate this place a zero I would . I’ve never felt so speechless and baffled. The receptionist who answer the phone was very impatient and unsure what to say when I called her and stated I was referred by my son pediatrician. She kept asking me what’s wrong with my son and why I needed an appointment? I continuously explained that I was unsure and that’s my reason gpe wanting to see a Dr. Very inexperienced when it come to parents with special needs . I will seek help else where
Can't keep appointments and can't tell me when the doctor is coming back.. very unprofessional
The receptionist was incredibly rude. My first statement was "my son's Dr sent a referral for him to see a neurologist". She asked why and I said "I don't know, you'd have to look at the referral but his only known diagnosis is autism.." she interrupted me speaking to say "we don't treat that!" Before I could tell her of his other suspected(but still undiagnosed) neurological symptoms. I followed up by saying "well, he has suspected seizures but it's not been diagnosed so I didn't think the Dr would write that on the referra... read more
* UPDATE* 9/17/2024 Yvette let out an exaggerated sigh after I called in and told her why I was calling. Following her sigh she then responded in a low voice that radiated lack of care and attention. As if she couldn’t care less on why I was calling. Totally off putting towards a parent calling in to make sure their child is getting the care needed. After that she pointed out how we have a video visit tomorrow and I can bring up my concern then. This office is unbelievable and truthfully the staff needs a lot of attention. I... read more
