Perhaps the worst experience I’ve ever had with a caregiver. I literally reported significant pain walking and shared concern about an upcoming walking trip. Was prescribed an anti inflammatory which did not abate the pain. Called in my concern the next day and was chastised that I needed to follow his instructions and I should go to physical therapy - which I wasn’t able to get into for 2 weeks! I had a knee replaced 12 years ago just short of 40 years old. It has been amazing. Dr Konigsberg was amazing. I now need a right knee at 52. And the hospital rules now does not allow me to have it done!! Do to me being overweight as I was with the first knee no problems with it at all. I work hard everyday I don’t set around and eat. I genetically came from bigger people. So I find it hard to grasp. That unmc are being prejudiced against heavier people.
Dr. Konigsberg is fantastic! He replaced my right knee in March 2015 and I've had no problems at all with it. I was so scared to have this done but I couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience! I now know... the few weeks of pain from this surgery will go away with some physical therapy but the pain I walked on 24/7 could never have healed itself! The entire staff is very helpful and so kind also! My left knee will also need to be replaced, I won't go anywhere else but to Dr. Konigsberg! Thank You!!!
