The idea here is solid. A barbershop with a bar element has real potential, and I wanted to like this place more than I did. My experience was just a little rough around the edges. My barber seemed like he might be newer to the craft. He was second-guessing himself throughout the cut, and the beard trim, while appreciated that it was comped, didn’t quite meet the standard I’d expect from a shop that puts beards front and center in the name. Honestly, saying I'm mortified of what this place has become doesn't even cover it. I've been coming here for 7 or 8 years now (2-3x per year) and have never had a single issue or complaint. There's a reason I've been coming back for almost a decade despite them being a little pricier. I needed a beard trim and didn’t have anywhere to go at the moment. I had heard about Beards and Beers and had seen them on social media before, so I decided to check out their reviews. After going in myself, I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews at all. I walked in without an appointment and they still took me in. I went in to get a beard trim today, a friend told me to ask for Cameron. I have to say he is a pretty cool guy. He asked a few questions to understand what I was looking for and made my beard look amazing! I left happy, when I got home my wife loved it also..
