The food was quite tasty, though my beet salad had no beets on it. When I pointed that out, I got a plate of canned beets, though the description said roasted beets. The service was a bit scanty, but I think they were short-staffed. We’d been once previously and everything was great, so I’d go back.
Wow, just wow. A hidden gem of the northwoods. The meatballs passed muster with my italian girlfriend, which says a lot right off the bat. Tomato bisque and warm Spinach salad was next up. The soup was nice and spicy. The gnocchi was amazing and the girlfriend loved the crispy skin salmon. We fished the night with bourbon chocolate creme brulee. Highly recommend.
The shrimp and grits were absolutely *phenomenal* with the salsa verde and chunky bacon, and the burrata bruschetta was delicious as well. Both were served within 10 minutes of ordering, which was fantastic! The chef brought the food to our table and it was very nice meeting who had put together our food. The grilled angel food cake with peanut butter cream was also delicious, but a much smaller portion than we had expected for the price and an unexpected 25 minute wait before being delivered by our waitress. Yeah that was my table there, it was ok,i had the spaghetti and meat balls but it was a bit too salty for me. Lacked flavor.
