I cannot praise the early morning ER team at Bear Valley Community Hospital enough. I was admitted around 5:00 AM with severe food poisoning. As a kidney transplant patient, I have seen a lot of medical staff over the years, and this team is at the absolute top for professionalism, efficiency, and patient care.The second we arrived, my stressed wife ran inside for help. I cannot thank the nurses and doctors enough for helping my little girl on the fourth of July. She fell and hit her head an needed glue to close the laceration and she was absolutely terrified, but nurse Noor, Dr. Becca and the respiratory therapist Dr. John as well as so many others made her feel so safe and calm. They truly treated her as if she was their niece or nephew and had her giggling about her cat when moments earlier she was sobbing and in pain. The nurses were absolutely unqualified and the treatment was unacceptable. I came in with a high fever of 103.1° F so my physical state was already very weak. Yet I was afforded no empathy or professionalism by the nurses. A tourniquet for phlebotomy is supposed to be on a patient’s arm for at max 2 minutes. The nurse placed it on my arm and then started to adjust my bed up and down up slowly and then took further time to adjust my handrail. Thank you for taking such great care of my daughter today. We are visiting from out of town and she came down with the flu. The whole staff was kind and quick to get her tested and treated.
