The front desk represents the first impression of this business, and unfortunately, the staff's attitude made for an awful experience. Significant retraining in basic customer service is needed.

Bear River's general staff is friendly and helpful, that's why they get a 2nd star. It is a real shame that Utah is forcing everyone on Medicaid to go here. They will not get the help they need to move on in life. I went there for 12 years and had 5 different therapist during that time. The last one, Leila Elmi-Stuart, was emotionally abusive. Her words included "I'm being mean, I'm being cruel, why do you come back?" I reported the issue, a year later she's still working there, but I will never go back. Bear River hands out... read more

I had a disappointing experience with a therapist at Bear River Mental Health, specifically Tim Mitchell. During my sessions, I felt uncomfortable with the way certain topics were handled. At times, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, and there were moments where comments came across as dismissive toward women’s perspectives. Additionally, there were instances where religious beliefs were brought into the conversation in a way that felt inappropriate and unrelated to my treatment goals.
