Great place to adopt a pet... I also applaud what this rescue does. They do charge high prices for the pets, so they could cover the cost for dogs that stay there forever (literally). No pets get put down here, and some actually have health conditions. They have ALOT of animals here, and ALOT of beagles. But they have other breeds and mixed breeds too. very good I bring Duffy in to be taken care of and I like it when Duffy grabs me by the bottom of my pants rushing me in Beagles and buddies. He loves it here. Thank you for your great care!
Lots of beagles and doggies to choose from Their cause is great and all of the people mean well. They overcharge for rescues (more than a puppy from the pet store would cost!). The premises is dirty and stinky, but what can you expect from that many dogs. I like the website and got two dogs from there. PROS: Website is great, a lot of doggies to choose from CONS: Stinky location and overpriced dogs.
Hoarding in the name of rescuing. On June 3, 2010 around mid-day, a locked van filled with 18 dogs packed in plastic airline crates was discovered on a South El Monte street. When Animal Control agents from SEACCA took the temperature inside the van, it was 100 degrees. Those dogs had been in that heat for at least 2 hours. The dogs in the van belong to Beagles and Buddies Rescue. I am grateful for this facility I got my first dog at a pet shop, not knowing any better. I came to Beagles & Buddies with a neighbor and was informed greatly just how big of a difference there was between buying and adopting. I am grateful for this facility, they helped me find my newest family member. :)
