I had an injury to my ankle and wanted to see a doctor due to increased swelling. This Beacon location offers urgent care. I walked in and was ignored by the receptionist for a few moments until she shortly asked if I had an appointment. I said no and she immediately was short again and said it was going to be a while. A wait is fine, but she acted like I was inconveniencing her as she continued to check the shredder bin and other tasks instead of giving me her attention. If this were just about quality of care, then it would be 5 stars. However, this office is very far behind in terms of medical records access. They are in "alliance" with Tri-Health, but they do not use the same MyChart online records maintenance, which is effectively non-existent for the patient. One must request records manually. I did this with the form the office provided nearly 30 days ago. Since I didn't receive or hear anything, I called the number on the form that I took a picture of before handing it in. $30 dollar co-pay, $30 dollar co-pay, $30 dollar co-pay, $30 dollar co-pay. These guys just nickel and dime you to death. You see the doctor for about 30 seconds and then nothing really comes of it. Just another type of medicine that is completely fictional. Take some Tylenol and rub some dirt on it. Its about the same effectiveness.
The wait time was ridiculous, receptionists were super unfriendly and when I finally got to the doctor he spent 2 minutes with me and they whisked me out of there so fast I had no time to ask important questions about my condition. I then sent a portal message to the provider with my questions and no one ever got back to me. This was like 2 weeks ago.
