I have banked with Beacon Credit Union for over four years. Recently in the past six months, my local branch will wait on every customer in the drive thru prior to waiting on me. I treat everyone equally and patiently wait through all the customers being waited on. It is clear that two specific tellers at the Piney Forest branch in Danville, Va are very open to their racism towards Caucasian members. It’s discrimination. It exemplifies hate. Nothing is what it was represented as not the interest rate or payment ....extra hidden fees for all sorts of things.... bill shows up with the late payment notice.... can't wait to get away
I felt compelled to write this review after being a customer with Beacon Credit Union for 21 years and the disregard and disrespect shown me by the Logans Lane branch. Though their Service Commitment states that they are there to help their customers make good banking decisions, it is not apparent in their actions. A signor/ beneficiary on my account had overdraft fees (now resolved) due to an initial $1.92 shortage and was charged a $40 overdraft fee, that created a mess. Nonetheless the bank put a hold on BOTH my accounts.... read more
