Beacon's trauma and surgical departments saved my left leg after a motorcycle accident. I am amazed at the results. The standard of care I've received has been top notch. Highly recommend Beacon.

Billing is a complete gamble. There is really no way of knowing in advance if insurance will treat the cost as a standard specialist and charge a copay or if a facility fee will be added and insurance will refuse to cover the visit altogether. I have tried using the online tool, but always get that my portion will be $15 - which is not even an option anywhere with my current Anthem PPO insurance. Went to my Endocrinologist 04/10/2026 in Kalamazoo Mi. I have never been treated so bad in my entire life when it was Borgess. They have been my Doctors since I was 18 years old. 45 years with Borgess and I am moving everything to Bronson. The receptionist Nakia is the rudest person I have ever delt with in my life. Took my payment for copay 50.00 and 10 mins later came out and said Dr. Greenburg was running 2 hours late and I could not be seen and needed to reschedule. Unprofessional. Will attempt to prematurely discharge patients (even when they are insured) that have suffered near death experiences and had major surgery. Their “staff” is a joke and puts the lives of patient in jeopardy completely unaware of their condition. Do not leave loved ones there alone; must be there to advocate and also potentially threaten with legal action in order to get them to do what they’re SUPPOSED to do. This hospital is the worse! If possible, transfer to another hospital like St. Joseph’s.
