I visited this dermatologist regarding trichotillomania. She was kind and professional, and she helped my mom with a separate issue. However, when discussing trichotillomania, the advice I received was simply to ‘stop pulling’ and ‘don’t touch it.’ Because trichotillomania is a recognized mental health disorder, this response felt dismissive and lacking understanding.
